We’re seeking a hands-on Factory Foreman to take charge of day-to-day floor operations in our manufacturing facility. This is a practical, trade-focused leadership role that requires a strong presence on the shop floor. You’ll be working directly alongside the team, actively supervising, guiding, and completing jobs to ensure everything is done safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position is ideal for someone who leads by doing and takes pride in being deeply involved in the work.
About You
Qualified tradesperson (Cabinetmaker, Carpenter, Joiner or similar)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment
At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate a team
Strong knowledge of machinery (Panel Saw, Edge Bander, CNC, etc.)
Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
Current White Card
Ability to read workshop drawings
Safety-first mindset with attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Be self-motivated with the demonstrated ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group People Operations Manager, the Factory Foreman is responsible for overseeing day-to-day factory operations across joinery, assembly, welding, machinery including CNCs (Multicam + Zund) and 5-1 Press, upholstery and paint + lamination booths. You’ll lead a small team of skilled trades and general factory staff, ensuring staff training, smooth workflow, quality output, and adherence to safety standards.
This role suits someone with strong trade experience (carpentry, joinery, cabinetmaking or similar + machinery as above), who enjoys being on the constant move between workspaces ensuring our jobs are done to a high standard and to our set deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support factory staff to achieve manufacturing and quality targets
Supervise day-to-day manufacturing operations – joinery, assembly, and finishing
Ensure all jobs (including sampling) are completed on time and to the required quality
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised workspace in line with WHS standards
Monitor machinery performance and coordinate maintenance when needed
Oversee accurate stock control and inventory reporting
Liaise with scheduling, design, and supply chain teams to improve efficiency
Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and team culture
