Time fraction: EFT 0.2
Commencement date: 5th January 2026
End date: 2nd October 2026
Salary: Approx. $18,000 (Inclusive of 11.5% superannuation, and based on status of employment, that is, fixed term part-time, for nine months)
Job Description
The Association of Music Educator’s Programme Co-ordinator will be taking maternity leave for a period of nine months from the beginning of 2026. aMuse therefore requires a highly skilled and dedicated person to fulfill the duties of Program Co-ordinator, a .2 position, during this time. The ideal candidate will have both teaching experience, knowledge of current VCAA arts curriculum and strong work plan development, progress oversight, event organisation and administrative skills.
Objectives of this Role
Under the guidance of the Committee of Management (COM), the Programme Co-ordinator will:
Plan and implement a professional learning program, including our VCE and F – 10 annual conferences
Maintain regular communication with our members and promote online communities, such as Linkedin
Maintain professional relationships with statutory bodies such as DET and VCAA
Foster relationships with like-minded organisations
Regular Responsibilities
Report on activities and communicate with the COM
Plan and implement the professional learning programme
Work with the web designer to update information on the aMuse website
Maintain social media presence
Foster new memberships and monitor the membership database in conjunction with our bookkeeper
Attend to the administrative duties associated with the co-ordination of the professional learning programme
Skills, Qualifications and Requirements
A teaching qualification and 5+ years music teaching experience
Knowledge of current VCAA arts and specifically music curricula
Experience with web technologies, software platforms such as Joomla and Xero, and social media applications, such as Linkedin
Proven success managing projects and/or events
Experience in attending to priorities, deadlines and budgetary guidelines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Ability to work from home
