Apply your extensive experience and contemporary knowledge of strategic HR management including inability, performance management, and workplace disputes.
The Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) provides essential corporate functions to the Northern Territory Government (NTG) under a centralised service model, enabling agencies to focus on their core business. Workforce Management is one of the key enterprise services providing support across a range of areas including Employee Relations, Performance Management, Conduct, Workplace Disputes, Work Health Management, and General HR Support.
Currently the Workforce Management team is recruiting experienced Workforce Managers to be appointed at the AO7 or SAO1 levels. Applications will be assessed against both levels and offers of employment will be made based on relevant experience and qualifications.
As Manager Workforce Management (AO7) you will provide high level advice, guidance and coaching to clients on workforce matters. This involves providing advice on complex issues such as disputes/grievances, discipline, medical, investigations and inability, recommending appropriate courses of action for resolution and early intervention strategies. You will also be required to undertake analysis of agency people matters and HR data to inform and develop effective solutions.
To be successful at the AO7 level, you require extensive experience undertaking complex HR case management, early intervention and the ability to interpret and apply legislation.
As the Senior Manager, Workforce Management (SAO1), you will lead a team of Workforce Management professionals and provide expert Workforce Management advice, guidance and coaching to clients on a range of workforce matters. This involves triaging the case management workload within the team, allocating matters to appropriate team members and managing timeframes and client expectations. You will apply your highly developed relationship management skills to develop and maintain effective partnerships and your strategic HR management skills to develop strategies, policies and procedures aligned to corporate objectives, legislation and public sector initiatives.
To be successful at the SAO1 level you require similar set of skills and experience as the AO7 but with demonstrated superior case management experience along with experience in leading and managing a small team of case managers in a multi-skilled, client focussed HR enterprise service environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills with the ability to positively influence human resource / workforce matters are essential for both roles.
In return, you will receive a competitive remuneration package including 12% superannuation, 6 weeks’ recreation and 3 weeks’ personal leave, additional 3 days paid Christmas Closedown leave and 17.5% annual leave loading. You will also have access to professional development opportunities, including training, study assistance and professional membership reimbursements and the opportunity to request a flexible work agreement.
