🚛 Materials & Logistics Officer
📍 | 8/6 FIFO Roster | $630 p/d + Super | Immediate Start

We are seeking an experienced Materials & Logistics Officer to join the site-based team of a Tier 1 Mining Company on an ongoing assignment. This role plays a vital front-line position in coordinating, managing, and expediting materials to support major construction and maintenance projects across site.

About the Role

Reporting to the Supervisor, you will ensure the safe, timely, and compliant delivery of materials to meet project requirements. This hands-on role involves both operational and administrative tasks, including coordinating suppliers, managing inventory, overseeing laydown areas, and operating heavy vehicles and equipment.

You will take ownership of logistics efficiency and accuracy, contributing to safe operations and ensuring materials are delivered and accounted for to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and contractors to coordinate on-site deliveries.
* Manage inter-site materials transfers to meet project timelines.
* Oversee laydown areas and ensure safe and effective storage.
* Receive and inspect materials for conformance and compliance.
* Maintain accurate stock and inventory management records.
* Manage stock returns and complete all relevant documentation.
* Support vehicle escorting and logistics movements within AOZ.
* Conduct safety checks on all equipment and ensure documentation is current.
* Collaborate with the Supervisor and team to optimise delivery routes.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe truck and trailer.

Skills & Experience

✅ Australian full working rights
✅ HR licence (HC preferred) with semi-trailer driving and load restraint experience
✅ Forklift and Telehandler experience (tickets highly regarded)
✅ FIFO experience essential
✅ Computer literacy (SAP experience desirable)
✅ Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to safety

Preferred but not essential:
* Experience with extendable semi-trailers (19m+)
* Trade or tertiary qualification
* Supply chain or materials management background
