About the Role

This role leads the Learning Design team at NIDA Corporate Training, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, commercially effective training programs aligned with client needs and industry trends. It involves managing and supporting a team of casual tutors to maintain a consistent and impactful participant experience across all programs. Key responsibilities include reviewing learning design outputs for quality and alignment, using training feedback and data to drive continuous improvement, and integrating current trends in communication and leadership training into program offerings. The role works closely with cross-functional teams, Business Development, Client Relationships, Operations, and Marketing, to ensure programs meet strategic goals. It also focuses on innovation, efficiency, tutor development, and effective resource planning to meet performance and financial targets.

About You

You are a seasoned learning and development professional with over five years’ experience in program management, team development, and training delivery. You have a proven track record of leading and coaching teams, designing effective learning programs, and aligning training initiatives with organisational goals. With strong stakeholder management and communication skills, you collaborate well across functions and excel at managing multiple priorities. You’re highly organised, tech-savvy, and committed to innovation, continuous improvement, and inclusive practices. Experience in leadership or communication training and familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce are valuable assets but not mandatory.

This is a full-time 2-year contract. The base annual salary is $120,000 + 12% Superannuation, based on a 38-hour working week.

What we deliver

For those wanting to start a career in the creative arts, we offer full-time fully-accredited bachelor degrees in Acting, Costume, Design for Performance, Properties and Objects (props), Staging, and Technical Theatre and Stage Management, masters degrees in Cultural Leadership, Directing and Writing for Performance and diploma courses in Musical Theatre, Live Production and Technical Services and Specialist Make-up Services.

We also make our training available to the public with term classes, short courses, school-holiday programs, evening and weekend classes. Our NIDA Open programs are designed for children, young people and adults and we also run Corporate workshops for business professionals.
