APG Workforce is seeking 3 skilled and motivated Maintenance Fitters to join one of our major clients in Wingfield, Adelaide.

​ The Role: As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment across the site to ensure smooth operations. ​ You will play a key role in ensuring that all machinery is in good working condition and that all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with the company standards and systems. ​

Key Responsibilities: ​

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and equipment. ​
• Conduct in-process checks, take corrective actions, and document as required. ​
• Maintain a clean, safe, and operational workshop. ​
• Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures. ​
• Minimize water and energy use while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards. ​
• Ensure compliance with Company Quality Systems, HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). ​
• Actively participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives. ​

Essential Qualifications and Skills: ​

• Trades qualification in a relevant discipline. ​
• Previous experience in a maintenance team within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food processing industry. ​
• Australian citizen, permanent resident, or legally entitled to work in Australia. ​
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to make quick, correct decisions on the job. ​
• Basic communication skills (written and oral). ​
• Commitment to producing food in a hygienic and safe manner. ​

Preferred Skills and Experience: ​

• Welding and thermal cutting proficiency (certificate level). ​
• HACCP and food handling training. ​
• Background in poultry processing. ​
• Certificates I-III in Poultry Processing. ​
• Knowledge of WHS, HACCP, and environmental systems. ​
