Senior Manager Procurement & Logistics, Grade 11/12, Wollongong

  • We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the procurement and warehousing functions for the NSW State Emergency Service (SES)
  • Work in a volunteer-based agency supporting communities of NSW
  • Full time, ongoing role, based in Wollongong


About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an individual with excellent leadership skills, procurement & business acumen and experience in warehousing to lead the SES’s procurement function (and undertake the role of Chief Procurement Officer) and warehousing operations.

The role is responsible for the agency’s compliance with NSW Government procurement legislative and statutory requirements and supports the SES to deliver on operational requirements through the supply of equipment and inventory items to volunteer Units across NSW.

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

  • have excellent leadership skills, with a proven record of building and maintaining high performing teams and;
  • outstanding stakeholder engagement / management skills, including demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, in an environment where you will need to ensure compliance with at times inflexible rules or regulations.

Previous experience in NSW Government procurement, and/or in-depth knowledge of the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework would be advantageous.
