In short: dental care for the trickiest smiles. Dental treatments for these patients are typically under general anaesthesia (sleep dentistry) or IV sedation. 🦷 Your role:

This is more than chairside assisting. It is a smile-side strategy. You’ll be a key player in our treatment setup process behind the scenes, especially for hospital-based cases. Your ability to plan ahead, stay organised, and show up ready is essential to patient care and team success.

Your day-to-day may include:

Assisting with dental procedures under general anaesthesia and IV sedation

Preparing instruments and materials between the clinic and the hospital

Ensuring our stock in the hospital is complete and ready for upcoming procedures

Setting up surgical trays and treatment rooms with precision and care

Adjusting quickly to changes in hospital scheduling

Starting early at the hospital when needed (with advance notice)

✅ What we’re looking for:

Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (Essential)

Permanent work rights in Australia (Essential)

Valid Australian driver’s licence and own transport (Essential)

Previous experience in dental treatment under general anaesthesia and/or IV sedation (Preferred)

Strong working knowledge of oral surgery, implants, root canals, and treatment setups (Preferred)

Meticulous infection control (Essential)

Dependable and reliable (Rock-solid)

Complex dental treatment set-ups handled with glove-tight confidence

🏥 Where you’ll work:

You’ll be based at our modern clinic inside the Village Shopping Centre in Upper Mount Gravatt with free secure parking. You’ll also assist at private hospitals, including:

St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital in Spring Hill

Brisbane South Private Hospital (BSPH)

Ipswich Day Surgery (IDH)

🚧 What can be challenging:

This role requires excellent foresight from start to smile. Knowing what can go wrong and preparing for it. Coordination between hospital and clinic teams for instruments and materials can be complex, so a proactive, detail-oriented mindset is essential.
