WACHS is seeking dedicated and skilled Medical Imaging Technologist’s to join our dynamic healthcare team in Geraldton. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services while ensuring the utmost care for our patients. Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret radiological requests and perform procedures in alignment with the ALARA principle and relevant legislation.
- Supervise fluoroscopy procedures conducted by licensed medical practitioners and assist radiologists during special procedures as needed.
- Maintain patient privacy, safety, and welfare throughout all examinations.
- Participate in the maintenance and quality assurance of imaging equipment, identifying and reporting any faults.
- Engage in continuous professional development to uphold registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
- Support the supervision and development of students and other staff as per senior staff direction.
Ideal Candidate:
- Must holds a tertiary qualification in Medical Imaging and is eligible for registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of radiographic principles and can adapt techniques to match various clinical situations, including trauma.
- Is highly aware of the importance of patient welfare, safety, and radiation protection procedures.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
- Can work autonomously while also being a collaborative team player.
- Has a proven ability to identify and diagnose simple imaging equipment issues.
