The opportunity
We are seeking a full-time English Teacher with the ability to teach across Years 7–12, who is committed to creating vibrant, inclusive and academically challenging classroom environments.
Key responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging , contemporary and inclusive learning experiences
Foster a love of literature, writing and critical thinking in all students
Use a variety of assessment tools to support and evaluate student learning
Contribute to the ongoing development and review of curriculum documentation
Support student wellbeing and participate actively in our advisory programs
Collaborate with colleagues to share expertise and continuously improve practice
Participate in the full life of the school, including co-curricular activities and special events
Ability to teach Humanities is highly desirable.
The successful candidate
Is Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registered and holds relevant tertiary qualifications
Has experience teaching English to students in Years 7–12
Possesses a deep understanding of contemporary teaching practices
Demonstrates a growth mindset and inspire students and colleagues through your passion for learning
Is committed to child safety and inclusive education practices
Has excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable:
Experience teaching Humanities (e.g. Commerce, History, Geography)
Postgraduate qualifications in Education or related field
