About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team at Lighthouse Christian College - Keysborough. As an English Teacher for Years 7-10, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journeys of our students. This full-time position is located in Keysborough, VIC 3173.

What you'll be doing

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum for Year 7-10 students

Assess and provide feedback on student work to support their learning and development

Collaborate with the English Faculty teaching team to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies

Maintain accurate student records and provide timely feedback to parents/guardians

Contribute to the overall academic and personal growth of students through mentoring and extracurricular activities

What we're looking for

Relevant teaching qualifications and registration to teach in Victoria

Demonstrated experience in teaching English to secondary school students

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents and the school community

A passion for education and a commitment to student-centred learning

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic teaching team
