About the role

Total Asphalt is seeking suitable candidate/s to join our company in Kalgoorlie - Boulder, WA.

These full-time positions involve operating various plant and machinery and general labouring duties to support our Asphalt operations. On the job training is supplied where required.

What you'll be doing

NB; Specific tasks are position dependent, but are not limited to the following grouping of tasks:

Asphalt Crew

Learning about road construction and the application of Asphalt and how Paver machines operate

Operating small plant equipment like Bobcats, rollers and pad compactors

Ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards

Performing general labouring duties as required

Using brooms, shovels and rakes

Cleaning

Operating asphalt paving and profiling equipment

Working collaboratively within a team to complete projects on time and to the required standard

Experience preferred but not essential as on the job training is provided

Batch Plant Crew

What we're looking for

A can-do attitude

Interest in the Asphalt industry

The ability to take direction and show initiative

Have an understanding of and commitment to work health and safety

Be self-motivated with a 'can do' attitude, be conscientious and punctual

Must be physically fit and able to work in sometimes demanding outdoor environments

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A current unencumbered Western Australian driver's license and any relevant construction industry tickets/certifications

MUST reside locally for general labourers positions however other arrangements for those with demonstrated specific operational experience could be considered

Please include your resume, an up-to-date Drug and Alcohol Screen and Police Clearance - please note that minor and aged transgressions will not preclude employment

What we offer

You will work a minimum 8hrs per day.

A roster of 5 days on & 2 days off then 6 days on & 1 off.

No night shifts.

Paid fortnightly.
