As they continue to grow, we are seeking a Team Leader - Financial Operations to oversee the smooth operation of the organisation
About the role:
As Team Leader, Financial Operations, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy, operational excellence, and world-class customer service across a dynamic, fast-paced business.
In this role, you'll oversee the Disbursements and Review teams, ensuring consignors are compensated accurately and on time, in line with contractual obligations. Working closely with the Manager, Financial Operations, you'll manage the day-to-day financial operations, from settlements and reconciliations to compliance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and train a team of Disbursements Specialists and Review Specialists.
- Oversee the timely settlement of auction proceeds and EFT releases.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and SOX guidelines.
- Review settlement packages, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, auditors, and consignors to resolve issues.
About You
You're a hands-on financial leader with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing leadership with technical expertise.
You'll bring:
- 3-5 years' experience in financial operations, accounting, or disbursements.
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).
- A background in accounting or finance (qualification preferred).
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
