Your new role:

As a Nurse Manager – Patient Flow Program, you'll play a key leadership role in coordinating patient admissions, discharges and transfers to ensure efficient hospital operations and safe, person-centred care. Working collaboratively with senior nursing and multidisciplinary teams, you'll support the Assistant Director of Nursing in delivering operational excellence across the Patient Flow Program by:

  • Leading and benchmarking performance across patient flow and workforce practices
  • Coordinating and implementing quality improvement and service redesign initiatives
  • Providing operational leadership and expert clinical governance
  • Managing data integrity, resources and budgets to support service delivery outcomes
  • Promoting education, research and evidence-based practice within the nursing workforce

About you:

You are a proactive and compassionate nursing leader with advanced decision-making skills, operational insight and a passion for driving patient flow efficiency. You will bring a collaborative mindset and proven ability to manage complex systems by:

  • Holding current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrating advanced leadership and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • Possessing strong analytical, planning and resource management abilities
  • Displaying expertise in workforce rostering, data analysis and clinical governance
  • Fostering education, innovation and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Holding (or working toward) postgraduate qualifications in nursing or health management (highly regarded)
