Your new role:

As the Clinical Nurse Consultant – Ward 2M, you'll provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership across the General Medical and Geriatric Unit. This role is integral to shaping safe, quality, person-centred care and mentoring nursing staff to deliver best practice outcomes. You'll collaborate closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator and multidisciplinary teams to drive excellence in acute medical nursing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide expert clinical consultancy, leadership, and education within acute medical and geriatric nursing.
  • Support implementation of evidence-based practices, policies and care standards.
  • Lead and contribute to quality and safety initiatives aligned with MSH and National Standards.
  • Mentor, guide, and develop staff to foster a culture of clinical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Support innovation, workforce development, and patient care improvements across the unit.
