About the role
As the Purchase Order Administrator, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s Corporate Services Group.
You will play a key role in ensuring procurement compliance and supporting purchasing transactions across our systems. This includes verifying documentation, maintaining accurate records, and guiding stakeholders through procurement processes.
Key accountabilities include:
Conducting compliance checks to ensure purchase orders align with V/Line’s Procurement Policies and government obligations.
Verifying purchase orders are linked to valid contracts and include required documentation.
Performing transactional activities in Zycus and JDE systems.
Supporting system users with purchase order creation queries and troubleshooting.
Engaging with stakeholders to build capability and ensure correct purchasing practices.
Reporting non-compliance and contributing to process improvements.
About you
You’re a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys supporting others to succeed. You bring a collaborative mindset and a commitment to ethical and compliant practices.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
Experience with raising and creating POs, ideally within a regulated environment.
Strong understanding of compliance processes and documentation requirements.
Proficiency in ERP systems (similar to JDE, SAP, Zycus) and transactional support.
Business partnering mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2023 and commence at EA Rate Clerk 1 $80,860 plus 17.5% annual leave loading and 12% superannuation.
