As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Risk Advisory Officer to enhance the capability of our skilled and experienced Risk Advisory team.
The Role
The Risk Advisory Team provides compliance and risk management advice to support the business to make risk aware and compliant decisions in pursuit of St Lukes strategic goals and objectives. We focus on “how we can” not “what we can’t”. Reporting to the Head of Risk and Resilience and working closely with all members of the Risk Advisory Team, this role will focus on compliance activity but also provide you exposure across risk management.
This role will support the Head of Risk & Resilience to perform the compliance responsibilities within Risk Advisory. The type of activity that this role will perform includes supporting business units to understand their responsibilities on new and updated compliance obligations, supporting the business to develop procedures that maintain our compliance with legislative and/or prudential obligations, performing compliance assurance activity across the organisation, and assisting in the preparation of compliance reporting.
To succeed in this role
You will need to be a critical thinker and be able to research and interpret legislation and prudential standards
You will be self-motivated and able to independently apply given directions
You will enjoy variety in your work and a high paced workload
You will also have good interpersonal communication skills to be able to interact across all teams and all levels
You will have completed a tertiary qualification in a relevant field and have 2 to 4 years’ experience within a compliance or risk management related role
