This Finance Project lead opportunity presents a chance to join a values-driven, people-focused business during a period of system improvement and process optimisation, with exposure to senior leadership and a supportive finance team.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Financial Controller, Billings team, and Operations Manager, this role plays a key part in strengthening system functionality, improving process efficiency, and enhancing business reporting. The focus will be on optimising finance systems performance, while supporting broader finance process review and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Act as system administrator for Deltek VantagePoint, including maintenance, process improvement, and resolution of issues from the recent upgrade
Provide system support and training to finance users and project teams
Manage the finalisation of the system integration, reporting, and issue resolution within Employment Hero (payroll system)
Assist with ongoing finance process reviews and improvement projects
Support budgeting and reporting enhancements, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency across finance operations
Partner with finance and business stakeholders to deliver practical, value-adding solutions
Your Background
To be successful in this Finance Project Lead position, you will ideally possess:
CA or CPA qualification or relevant accounting certificate
Proven experience in a systems-focused accounting role
Strong working knowledge of Deltek ERP systems highly preferable
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyse and streamline financial processes
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a consultative and solutions-oriented approach
