Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse – Clinical Facilitator, you will be a pivotal clinical leader and educator in our kidney and dialysis specialist nursing team. You'll autonomously manage complex haemodialysis patients, provide expert clinical decision-making, and coordinate high-quality care delivery. You will also support professional development, research, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold best practices and patient-centred care. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and delegate nursing tasks within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high standards of care
- Drive quality improvement, incident management, and risk mitigation strategies
- Act as a clinical educator and mentor, facilitating learning and professional growth
- Support management functions including staffing, performance reviews, and change management
About you:
You're an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for specialist kidney care and clinical leadership. You thrive in autonomous roles where critical thinking, advanced clinical skills, and collaborative teamwork are essential. You are committed to continuous learning and have a strong drive to educate and inspire others. Skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced clinical expertise in haemodialysis and complex patient management
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Experience in clinical education, mentoring, and team coordination
- Proficiency in EMR systems and quality frameworks

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
