About The Role

We are well established in our long term contract at Mt Magnet Gold Mine, and seeking an experienced Senior Shot Firer to commence ASAP and join our team.
This role is being made available due to internal promotions as we expand our team across other projects within the business.
This role will see you working with a small 4-5 person crew, working closely with our drilling contractor to maintain the blasting schedule in both established and greenfields pits.

Essential Criteria

• Current Drivers License
• Prior Gold Mine experience
• 5 years hard rock gold mining experience
• Exposure to Shot Plus/Blast Plan Pro an advantage
• Available to mobilise within the next 2-3 weeks
• High level communication skills - liaising with drill subcontractor, explosive suppliers and client's technical team
• Proactive in training and mentoring blast crew & junior shot firers
• Able to provide clear Police Clearance for site access
• Current WA Shot Firer License & Dangerous Goods Security Card

Roles are offered on a 8&6 FIFO basis, on a day shift only basis flying in and out Thursday mornings to site.

These are permanent, fulltime roles from day 1, offering 12.5 hour shifts with super paid on all hours worked.

Camp facilities on site include ensuited rooms, Telstra phone coverage, gym and wifi. Other facilities in town close at hand including IGA, and 2 pubs for a quiet drink after work.
