Connect People are seeking a Safety Coordinator/Officer for an immediate start in immediate start in Carrington, Newcastle.

Our client is a leading infrastructure services company operating across Australia and New Zealand, delivering projects in telecommunications, infrastructure, education, and defence with a strong focus on safety, innovation, and community impact.

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Conduct morning site visits, inspections, and audits, documenting findings with photographs and supporting reports.
• Manage email administration and maintain accurate compliance and inspection records.
• Monitor and update training data in Power BI and SuccessFactors, including rebooking and tracking completions.
• Assist with onboarding, inductions, incident reporting, and investigations.
• Support SHEQ reporting, safety communications, and compliance with risk and HSE management systems.

What's on offer:

• Pay rate: $40-$45 p/h
• Contract length: 29/10/2025 - 31/12/2025
• Monday - Friday with varying start times (between 6am-9am). 8 hour days.

Key requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a WHS-related role and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety highly regarded.
• Confident collaborating with all levels of staff and management, including SHEQ and RTW teams.
• Organised, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure in a changing environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a proactive, inquisitive mindset.
