This is an exciting opportunity to join a large, global business undergoing significant transformation following recent international investment. The organisation operates across Asia Pacific with a strong presence in Australia and New Zealand.
Operating in the transport and distribution sector, the business model is complex and fast-paced. The HR function plays a pivotal role in supporting the company-owned operations while providing guidance and recommendations across the wider network.
You'll join a well-structured regional HR team, reporting into the Regional HR Director for Asia Pacific and working alongside HR and Payroll professionals across Australia, New Zealand, and the broader region.
Description
The HR Advisor will support the Regional HR Director and the wider HR team to deliver the People Strategy for the Oceania region. You'll provide guidance to managers and employees across a range of HR activities, ensuring consistent, compliant, and effective HR practices across both corporate and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of people initiatives across Talent, Organisation Effectiveness, and Reward.
Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, HRIS, performance management, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
Coordinate and support people-related actions and changes including new hires, promotions, movements, and exits.
Assist managers with performance management, grievance handling, and misconduct processes.
Support reward and recognition programs, including annual salary reviews and incentive schemes.
Continuously review and improve HR processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external HR partners to support business objectives.
Contribute to both local and global HR projects and initiatives.
Profile
- Minimum 2 years' experience in HR
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credible relationships
- Experience using HRIS
- Working knowledge of local employment law and awards - IDEALLY WITHIN TRANSPORT AND DISTRIBUTION
Job Offer
- Competitive salary ranging from AUD 80,000 to AUD 85,000 per annum + super.
- Hybrid working 3-4 days in office, 1-2 days at home.
