We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Manager with a strong background in health care recruitment to lead and grow Skilled Nursing, the nursing and midwifery division of Skilled Medical.

About the Role
You will take the leadership of Skilled Nursing, managing and expanding our dedicated division that places nurses and midwives in locum/temp, contract, and permanent roles across Australia. You will also support international recruitment to Australia and New Zealand through our UK office.
The role is both strategic and hands-on. You will lead and grow the recruitment team, manage your own candidate portfolio, and be responsible for achieving growth targets and service outcomes.
You’ll have the support of our established intake and placement systems, strong supply contracts, and a large database of AHPRA-registered nurses and midwives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, develop and grow the Skilled Nursing team
Manage recruitment operations from candidate sourcing to placement and invoicing
Develop and meet divisional goals, KPIs, and service standards
Expand and build relationships with health service clients and candidates
Use our in-house technology platform to manage placements and reporting
Ensure compliance and quality standards across all recruitment activities
Set the highest professional standards in managing your own placement portfolio.
About You
You’re a driven, professional recruitment manager with:
Proven experience in nursing or health care recruitment in agency and/or health service settings
Strong leadership and team-building skills
A track record of managing growth in temp and perm placements
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Business knowledge and sound commercial acumen
A hands-on, solutions focussed approach with a high standard of service delivery.
You will lead by example and bring energy, professionalism, and a commitment to service in everything you do.
