About the role

Hemingway Support Pty Ltd is seeking passionate and experienced Complex Needs Support Workers to join our team in suburbs around Perth, WA.

This is a casual role, offering flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle with part time/full time opportunities after probation.

As a Complex Needs Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs, including those requiring behaviour support.

What you'll be doing

Providing personalised support and assistance to individuals with complex needs in home and community, including those with challenging behaviours

Implementing and monitoring behaviour support plans to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the individuals in your care

Collaborating with the wider support team to develop and regularly review care plans

Advocating for the rights and needs of the individuals you support

Maintaining detailed records and documentation to ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations

Actively participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Complex Needs Support Worker, with a focus on behaviour support

Experience with seizure management, dysphagia, personal care & managing behaviours of concern

Demonstrated ability to effectively implement and monitor behaviour support plans

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals in your care

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to manage challenging situations

Commitment to providing person-centred, empathetic and high-quality care

Current First Aid, and CPR certification

Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
