An exciting opportunity has opened to join the leadership team at Wholechild Early Learning, Coffs Harbour.

As our current Assistant Director also holds the Educational Leader role, we’re seeking an additional Assistant Director to complement our model of distributed leadership and help shape the future of our service.

We’re looking for a passionate and motivated early childhood professional who’s ready to grow, be mentored, and ultimately step into a Centre Director position in the future.

About the Role:

As the Assistant Centre Director, you will:

Work in partnership with the Director to oversee the daily operations of the centre.

Mentor, inspire, and support educators to foster a positive and passionate team culture

Lead by example to embed Wholechild’s curriculum, values, and quality standards.

Enjoy substantial time off the floor, working opposite open/close shifts to the Director.

Develop confidence in operational systems, online platforms, and CRM programs.

Build authentic relationships with families and support the day-to-day administration of the service.

Be hands-on in leadership mentoring while still connecting meaningfully with children and educators.

About You

Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA equivalent).

Experience in a similar leadership role is highly valued.

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, and WWCC.

Child Protection Training (CHCPRT001).

Strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.

A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work across operational hours.
