About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This role is a full-time or a part time position with flexibility available depending on the successful candidate.

In this role, you will be a key member of our clinical team, providing essential support to our dentists and ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care. There will also be the occasional administration / receptionist duties to further support the team when needed. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting dentists during complex procedures, particularly in the areas of orthodontics, periodontal maintenance, and implant dentistry.

Preparing patients for treatments, ensuring they are comfortable and well-informed.

Managing sterilization and infection control processes in line with safety protocols.

Taking and developing dental X-rays and assisting with other diagnostic tests.

Maintaining accurate patient records, updating dental charts, and managing appointment scheduling.

Educating patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices.

Supporting the front office with reception duties, billing, and insurance processing as needed.

Assisting with lab work, including pouring, trimming, and polishing dental models.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high-quality care. The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in dental assisting ,Certificate III in Dental Assisting or wanting to enrol in Cert III in Dental Assisting and start a career in dentistry.

Experience assisting with complex dental procedures, particularly surgical work such as dental implants.

Punctuality, reliability, and a positive attitude.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Prime practice skills (preferred but not essential).

A well-presented and professional demeanour.

A willingness to grow, learn, and accept feedback.
