Location: Townsville QLD (on the traditional lands of the Bindal and Wulgurukaba People) and surrounding Regional QLD services. Relocation Assistance Available

Join Goodstart Early Learning as a Practice Partner in Townsville, where you'll be part of a passionate national team that supports educators to lift the quality of teaching and learning for all children.

In this exciting and hands-on role, you'll work side-by-side with centre teams across Townsville, using your expertise to coach, guide and model effective practice. Your work will help build sustainable capability, strengthen inclusive learning, and ensure every child—no matter their background or needs—has access to the highest quality early learning experience.

Your Impact:

As a Practice Partner, you will:

  • Provide timely, high-quality coaching and advice to educators, building confidence and capability in teaching and learning practices.
  • Partner with selected centres to support their Quality Improvement Plans, helping teams translate goals into action through practical, on-the-ground support.
  • Champion the consistent implementation of the QRS, NQS, EYLF and state-specific frameworks, with a strong focus on high-priority centres.
  • Stay up to date with sector best practices, policies and regulatory requirements, bringing current knowledge to every interaction.
  • Work collaboratively with the Teaching and Learning for All Children team and other internal specialists to co-design and roll out strategic improvement initiatives.
  • Support a strong culture of child safety, equity and inclusion through your everyday work and leadership.
  • Build trusted relationships with the Operations team to enhance safety and quality outcomes across the region.

You'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education from a recognised university
  • Extensive and recent practice-based early childhood teacher education experience (aged birth to 8 years)
  • Strong understanding of the A&R process and the Exceeding Themes
  • Experience in delivering high quality training to centre-based teams
  • Experience in supporting practice uplift with centre-based teams
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, other State based approved/recognised learning guidelines and the National Quality Standard
  • Sound understanding of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child
  • Excellent communication, organisational, evaluation and team leadership skills
  • Current QLD Working with Children Check
