My client builds modern healthcare platforms that is designed to improve outcomes for patients & healthcare practitioners. They are on the market for an Engineering Lead to head up a high performing team across Node, React & AWS.
This role will be a hands-on leadership role. Your core focus will be on technical leadership, delivery and architectural direction, and you will champion best coding practices, and shape the future of the engineering culture.
Day to day

• Lead a cross functional team of 10 – mostly offshore currently in Europe
• Improve development velocity through better CI/CD, release processes & observability
• Ensure high code quality and guide technical decisions
• Collaborate with design, product and clinical teams to deliver features that make a difference
• Ensure engineering practices meet the standards of regulated medical software
• Occasional travel to US & Europe to collaborate with international partners

Your skills

• Deep expertise in Node.JS, React & AWS (Lambda, API Gateway)
• Mobile experience with iOS and Android will be highly regarded
• Proven ability to lead from the front with great engineering practices & culture
• Familiar with DevOps practices and driving improvements
• Experience in regulated environments is a nice to have (HIPPA, ISO13485, or medical software)
• Based on East Coast Australia, option to work hybrid from Sydney office
