We generate more than 30 million views per month across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, LinkedIn and YouTube. Our audience comes to us for new restaurant openings, hidden cocktail bars, weekend itineraries, luxury stays, local news and what’s on.

We produce short-form video, editorial features and newsletters that showcase the best of the River City. We work with hospitality venues, event organisers, tourism operators and brands to tell stories that drive real attention and action.

About the role

We are looking for a creative Content Creator / Junior Media Editor to join our team full-time. If you love turning a day in Brisbane into a piece of content that people want to watch, share and visit, this role is for you.

You will plan, film and edit short-form videos, write sharp captions and editorial stories, publish to our website and newsletter, and help shape the voice of Brisbane’s #1 lifestyle platform.

Key responsibilities

Film and edit high-quality vertical video for TikTok, Instagram, Shorts and Stories

Write punchy hooks, captions and clear calls to action

Record voiceovers for venue features, event recaps and lifestyle pieces

Write editorial articles, listicles and event write-ups for the @Brisbane website

Proofread and edit to ensure accuracy, tone and consistency

Upload and format articles in our CMS

Contribute to our weekly newsletter with stories, headlines and snippets

Collaborate with local businesses on briefs, shoot approvals and deliverables

Support storyboarding, scripting and creative direction

Track trends and adapt them for the @Brisbane audience

Attend restaurant openings, brand activations and on-location shoots across Brisbane

You will be provided with extensive training by 2 of Brisbane's best short-form content creators and strategists as ongoing personal development within this role.

You will need

Minimum 2 years of experience in content creation, marketing, journalism or social media

Very strong attention to detail, organisational skills and exceptional time management (MUST)

Strong writing and proofreading skills for web and social

Proficiency in video editing in CapCut

Clear, confident voiceover skills for short-form content

Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube formats

A portfolio that shows your extensive content creation work

Your own transport for local shoots

A creative mindset, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine love for Brisbane

Bonus skills

Drone filming, licensed or recreational (training provided)

Comfortable on camera for optional pieces to camera

Experience with SEO and newsletters (training provided)

Background in journalism, media or communications
