The opportunity
We are in the market for an experienced and qualified professional Senior Project Officer, you are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge.
This position will be responsible for the planning and management of a range of strategic projects aimed to increase the economic growth, employment, investment, government infrastructure and services in Mandurah.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant degree
- Current unrestricted C class national driver’s licence.
- Demonstrated professional experience of at least 3 years in economic or business development, private investment attraction and/or delivery and implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Experience in working with the business sector and understanding of factors affecting business growth (desirable).
- Experience in working with the human capital sector and understanding of key issues and opportunities in skill development, higher education, and employment pathways (desirable).
- Sound understanding of the business development and investment process, financial reporting and key factors driving regional economic growth.
- Demonstrated ability to be collaborative and build relationships internally and externally to further the reputation and success of Mandurah.
- Research, analytical thinking and report-writing skills.
- Ability to discuss, articulate and challenge business plans and options.
- Knowledge of Australian and State Government grant funding program.
