About the role

Reporting to the Head of Engineering & Markets, you'll partner closely with Planning, Development and Commercial teams, and manage specialist consultants and contractors. Your north star: deliver sound, compliant, low-risk designs and assumptions that secure approvals and de-risk FID.

Duties

Own resource monitoring plans to bankable uncertainty pre-FID

Lead energy yield assessments for wind and solar

Scope and review technical studies (noise, glint/glare, flicker, EMI, hydrology)

Manage met mast, LiDAR and solar monitoring vendors

Shape preliminary layouts and configurations with the wider team

Visit sites across AU/NZ; assess suitability and support approvals

Run technical due diligence on acquisition opportunities

Draft and negotiate technical specs and performance guarantees

Build effective stakeholder relationships and present clear technical reports

Drive Safety in Design and support budget preparation

Skills/experience

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy or related field

Depth in wind/solar resource campaigns and energy yield analysis

Proficiency with PVsyst and leading wind tools (WAsP, WindPRO, WindFarmer)

Knowledge across solar, wind and BESS design and performance

Familiarity with AU/NZ standards and regulatory frameworks

Exposure to hybrid integration and interface risk management

Strong communication, autonomy and vendor management
