About the role

Full time opportunity to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Orthopaedic Surgery Program and is responsible for ensuring the provision of specialist orthopaedic surgery services of the highest possible quality. Clinical Directors of Departments are expected to demonstrate leadership qualities and have a significant role in managing and planning within their service lines and departments, and to provide a leadership role model for other staff.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Develop the Caboolture Hospital Orthopaedics Service to align with community and organisational requirements and develop new models of care required for CKW.
  • Operational management of the CKW Orthopaedic Department and all related clinical services.
  • Provide specialist clinical services to patients and clients of the CKW Orthopaedic Service.
  • Ensure an optimal training experience in terms of knowledge and skills development for junior medical staff, medical students and other staff as appropriate.
  • Perform any other duties directed by the Service which are within their scope of practice and for which they are registered in the State.
