The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a variety of plant equipment while also leading and coordinating teams of workers in a back to back role to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time. This role combines hands-on plant operation with leadership, requiring excellent communication, organisational, and safety management skills.

Qualifications & experience

Proven experience in civil construction, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role, including experience in supervisng teams onsite.

Demonstrated expereince in leading civil works or infastructure projects.

Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance with industry standards.

Experience in implementing and minitoring safety procedures on-site.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting, instructions and coordination.

Basic computer knowledge and ability to conduct site administration.

Understanding of construction techniques, materials and equipment used in cicvil projects.

Proven experience as a plant operator.

Proficiency in operating a variety of heavy equipment.

High attention to detail and strong work ethic.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

HR Driver’s license.

Statatory Supervisor Qualification

Tasks & responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule project timelines.

Manage, mentor and motivate your team.

Site administration including: approving timesheet, reporting, completing toolbox minutes and daily prestarts.

Run daily prestarts.

Liaise with clients onsite.

Operate a range of heavy machinery including excavator, moxy, loader, grader, roller, watercart and side tipper.

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

Monitor plant operations and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
