As we expand our regulatory reach and broaden our digital transformation, we're seeking a Manager, Microsoft Systems, to lead the design, implementation, and management of AUSTRAC's Microsoft infrastructure.
With both strategic vision and hands-on expertise, you'll manage Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server environments, SQL Server, and a broad range of Microsoft technologies.

What are we looking for (Selection Criteria)
Required
Demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge in:
Microsoft SQL Server including Log Shipping and Clustering
PowerShell Scripting
Microsoft Office Security and Exchange (on-premises and online)
M365 services and the Essential Eight security plan
Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Object
Microsoft Licensing and patch management
Windows Firewalls
Strong Project Management skills with proven experience in leading large-scale projects.
Desirable
Professional certifications or qualifications, or equivalent experience

Key Duties
Infrastructure Management
· Oversee the administration and maintenance of the Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server environments.
· Lead the administration of Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Office security.
· Management of M365, Microsoft SQL Server and cloud-based Microsoft systems and platforms.
Security and Compliance
· Ensure compliance with the Australian Signals Directorate Blueprint.
· Oversee the Agency’s Microsoft patch management.
· Implement advanced PowerShell scripting.
· Manage and enforce security policies across Microsoft Group Policy Objects, Active Directory, Windows Firewalls.
Team Leadership and Project Management
· Manage and mentor a team of Microsoft server engineers.
· Take the lead on large-scale projects.
· Represent the Microsoft infrastructure in design and planning discussions.
Operations and Support
· Maintain a working knowledge of network printing and large scale MFD solutions.
· Ensure the operational efficiency of software and tools.
· Support mobile device management through solutions.
Strategic Planning
· Apply knowledge of the strategic impact of M365 and cloud-based systems.
· Apply knowledge and manage the agency’s Microsoft licensing agreements.
· Contribute to the design and deployment of new Standard Operating Environments (SOE).
Affirmative Measures

Annual leave of 4 weeks (20 days) per year + additional paid Christmas close down.
