About the Role

Permanent / ESO Grade 3

Monday to Friday – 27.5 hours per week / 8:50am – 3:00pm

41 weeks per year (during school terms)

We are seeking an experienced Education Support Officer Inclusion to join our Primary Campus – Reception to Year 6. The successful candidate will work in partnership with teachers and leadership to provide educational services to students. This role requires a skilled individual who can work closely with students to support them to navigate challenges and reach their full potential at school.

Key Responsibilities

Assist student learning under the supervision of a teacher.

Assisting teachers prepare, implement and supervise classrooms and / or intervention programs.

With the teachers’ support and approval, apply personal knowledge and initiative to suggest modifications to educational programs to meet the learning needs of specific students.

Supervise and care for students with formally identified special needs in accordance with Personalised Plans for Learning (PPL).

Assist with identifying student learning or behaviour challenges.

Actively participate in school activities, events, staff and team meetings, required training and professional development.

Essential Requirements

A Certificate IV in Education Support (or equivalent) and/or relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role is essential. Prior experience working in an education environment is highly desirable.

Hold a current acceptable Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance & screening to work in Catholic Education South Australia.

Hold current certification in Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect in Education and Care Settings.

Hold a First Aid Qualification.
