The Role

We are seeking an experienced Health and Hygiene Manager to lead the strategy, innovation and performance of our health Services function across Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific. This is a pivotal leadership role driving health risk mitigation, wellbeing initiatives and injury management excellence across multi-jurisdictional environment.

Reporting to the Senior Manager HSE Systems & Shared Services DNAP, you will develop and implement the Health Services strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll do

Develop, implement and lead the Health Services strategy for Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Provide expert guidance on risks and proactive matters to meet legislative obligations in relation to physical, psychosocial, and occupational hygiene risks across mining, manufacturing, and corporate environments.

Lead and mentor a skilled team delivering best-in-class injury management, workers compensation, psychosocial and wellness programs.

Oversee occupational hygiene systems and data management and interpretation to proactively reduce exposure risks.

Ensuring the delivery of best for company outcomes while delivering industry best practice in case management

Drive strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives that embed health and wellbeing into business culture.

Collaborate closely with HR, HSE, and operational leaders to promote a healthy, safe, and high-performing workforce.

Manage a team to formulate in-depth advice on complex policy and service design issues relating to health, mental health, alcohol and other drug across multiple states and jurisdictions

Assess and monitor organizational resources to ensure the effective and sustainable operation of the function

Interpret legislation, mange the Workcover processes across multiple jurisdictions, build relationship with brokers and regulatory bodies

What you’ll bring

You’re a confident, strategic thinker with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the business. You bring:

Tertiary qualifications in Health Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field

Experience in leading and managing the health and hygiene function within a large, multi-jurisdictional organization.

Previous experience in managing a team of health and or hygiene professionals

Strong background in mining, manufacturing, or high-risk operational environments.

Proven experience managing complex workers compensation cases across multiple states, ideally in a self-insured setting.

Deep knowledge of WHS, workers compensation, anti-discrimination, and privacy legislation.

Proven experience in providing guidance on case management where there are employment related impacts

Proven experience driving and implementing strategies in psychosocial risk management

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to analyze complex operational, policy and legal issues

Proven capability in exercising sound judgment in decision-making, risk management, and operational delivery Strong influencing skills while developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
