About the role

Maher Raumteen Solicitors are seeking a motivated Junior Solicitor to join our dynamic legal team in our Darwin, NT office. This position can be full-time or part-time, with alternate flexible arrangements available. Work under the guidance of experienced senior solicitors to gain valuable practical experience and develop local networks in a supportive and flexible environment.

What you will be doing

Assisting senior solicitors by conducting legal research, drafting contract and court documents, litigation support, alternate dispute resolution and client engagement

Undertaking supervised independent tasks in a diverse range of legal matters

Attend client meetings and court appearances to gain exposure to legal processes and practical experience

Develop your skills in areas such as litigation, commercial transactions, wills and estates, succession planning, asset protection and dispute resolution

Contribute to the team's success by taking on tasks and responsibilities as required

Participate in continuous professional development opportunities

What we're looking for

Recently admitted solicitor or graduate seeking admission to legal practice (our firm can provide assistance in the admission process)

Located in Darwin, or willing and able to relocate

Excellent communication and practical problem solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Keen interest in developing a well-rounded legal experience

Optional: Prior relevant commercial experience
