Our client is a leading provider of public transport services, committed to delivering safe, reliable, and customer-focused transit solutions across Australia. Based at the Kingsgrove depot, we are searching for a switched on trade assistant to join the team.

About the role
Support the commercial vehicle maintenance team with workshop assistance, tyre changes, and inspections in a hands-on, dynamic environment. This is a great opportunity for a mechanically minded individual to join a supportive team with competitive pay, plus generous daily meal and weekly tool allowances.

Duties

• Conduct minor vehicle inspections and assist with changing tyres
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop
• Assist with stores duties and maintain stock levels
• Perform general workshop maintenance (approx. 50% of workload)

Skills and experience

• Mechanical aptitude with a passion for hands-on work, such as hobby mechanics or experienced mechanics looking to take a step back
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn; training provided if needed
• Ability to work reliably and follow safety procedures
• Able to pass pre-employment medical inc drugs and alcohol testing
