About the role

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter/Joiner to join our team at Finesse Sash Window Repairs' on a contract basis that could lead to a full time role for the right person. This role is responsible for carrying out high-quality joinery work on sash windows across Sydney. As a Carpenter/Joiner, you will be an integral part of our skilled trades team, contributing to the successful delivery of restoration and repair projects for our valued clients. Previous experience with timber windows would be preferred but not essential. Training can be provided.

What you'll be doing

Undertake skilled carpentry and joinery work to repair and restore timber windows

Assess the condition of timber windows and provide recommendations for necessary repairs

Fabricate and install new window components as required

Ability to be able to remove existing glass from timber sashes and install new glass using putty glazing or timber beading. This skill is preferred but not essential.

Collaborate with the wider project team to ensure exceptional customer service and timely project completion

Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Carpenter/Joiner, preferably with exposure to heritage or sash window restoration work.

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve technical challenges

Proven track record of delivering high-quality workmanship and attention to detail

Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and the project team.

Be able to work solo or part of the team when required.

Current driver's licence and ability to travel to job sites across Sydney

Own ABN and insurance, but may consider wages for the right candidate
