About the role

Buildster is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Carpenter to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This is a contract position that will provide you with the opportunity to learn and develop your carpentry skills while working on a variety of construction projects.

What you'll be doing

Working under and following instructions from our Site Supervisor

General constructions tasks

Assist experienced carpenters with the full range of carpentry tasks

Perform basic carpentry tasks including measuring, cutting, and installing materials.

Develop proficiency in the use of power tools and hand tools

Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards

Maintain clean and safe work areas, and follow all safety protocols

What we're looking for

Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials

A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and attention to detail

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE

A candidate desiring to be a Site Supervisor in the future

A motivated self-starter

Ability to think on your feet

Good communicator
