Our Waste and Resource Recovery Operations team and is responsible for the provision of a high-quality resource recovery service, delivering high level customer service in compliance with environmental, workplace health and safety legislation.
We now have a fixed term contract opportunity or a Senior Operations Officer to provide commercial and contract management support for the Resource Recovery Service contract.
Key Deliverables
Provide guidance and support for the effective operation of City operated Waste and Recycling Centres, in conjunction with the RRS contractor. Including inspection of the supply and commercial requirements relating to plant, equipment, technology systems and resources to meet service standards and ensuring the contractor maintains compliant work practices at RRS operated Centres.
Utilises technical waste knowledge and understanding of business functions and operations to ensure services are effectively and efficiently delivered. Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to improve business systems and processes.
Responsible for project management and implementation of projects associated with improvements and maintenance at Waste Facilities.
Ensure all work complies with quality, workplace health and safety and environmental standards.
Provide a quality service to all customers, both internal and external, perform enquiry mediation.
Monitor the SAP asset and maintenance management system to ensure all activities both planned and reactive are tracked and monitored to drive optimum plant performance a resource usage, meeting budgetary requirements.
Liaising with waste operations functions and other stakeholders as part of delivering projects and investigations.
Correlate service and customer data and analysis to ensure service planning aligns with customer demand.
About You
Has experience within Waste Management/Waste Recycling operations or other relevant technical knowledge.
Competent in the use of Document Management systems, Open Windows and SAP.
Has experience in leading site-based teams to achieve operational maintenance and small renewal projects safely and within budget.
Has experience in managing WHS and Environmental requirements as it relates to Waste and Recycling Centres and Waste Industry standards.
A sound understanding of asset management principles.
Has experience in managing contractual arrangements to achieve service delivery and operational outcomes.
Capable of interacting with a wide range of stakeholders.
Can develop reports and presentations to inform and influence decision-making.
Hold an unrestricted Drivers Licence Class C.
Hold a current White Card or the ability to obtain.
