About the organisation

Be part of an initiative building the capability, evidence, and impact of Queensland's early childhood education and care workforce.

The Bryan Education Foundation is collaborating with the sector to codesign and establish a new organisation (a Queensland Early Years Workforce Institute) dedicated to strengthening the knowledge, skills, and depth of Queensland's early years workforce — a core action under the Queensland Early Childhood Workforce Strategy 2023–2027.

Until September 2026, will see The Bryan Education Foundation lead the development of the new independent entity, co-designing how and what the Institute will focus on, and trial some workforce planning and development initiatives.

About the role

The Senior Project Officer leads coordination, research, facilitation, codesign processes, and stakeholder engagement activities to support the establishment and delivery of the Queensland Early Years Workforce Institute’s strategic priorities.

Working closely with the Project Director, the role produces high-quality co-design approaches, navigates complex stakeholder interests, and generates project plans, supporting documentation and consultation outcomes, contributing to the Institute’s Evidence Agenda and workforce planning initiatives.

About you

You combine strategic insight with excellent analytical and communication skills, and thrive in a dynamic environment that requires collaboration and initiative.

You can translate complex ideas into clear, actionable outcomes. You’ll feel comfortable co-designing approaches, synthesising research and be confident engaging with senior stakeholders across government and the early childhood sector, bringing a balance of analytical thinking and practical project delivery.

You bring an ability to shape thinking and influence change through clear, evidence-based and pragmatic policy and initiative implementation advice.
