Hydrocarbon Technician – Electrical

About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Hydrocarbon Technician (Electrical) to join our client's team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of energy storage and fuel management systems across our fleet and client sites.
- Permanent full time
- $120k to $140k base salary + vehicle + phone + laptop
- $80 per night working away allowance
- Or $60 per night whilst working in the Karratha workshop
- 2:1 roster ex Perth or other accessable location in WA
- Also open to local Karratha residents + up to $1000 per week housing allowance + up to $10k pa utilities paid + $80 per night working away allowance
You’ll work both independently and alongside a supportive team, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain fuel and energy storage systems, including tanks, pumps, piping, valves, hoses, dispensers, and hybrid/battery systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across the client's fleet.
- Perform fabrication, assembly, and reassembly of mechanical and electrical components.
- Complete service reports, timesheets, and job documentation accurately and on time.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain professional communication with clients and team members.
- Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Recognised trade qualification (electrical or mechanical).
- Proven experience in the petroleum or hydrocarbon industry.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Intermediate computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
