About the Role
Join a leading national hire company with over 21 years of experience in the hire of elevated work platforms (EWPs), cranes, and material handling equipment. At Alfasi Hire, we pride ourselves on safety, reliability, and exceptional customer service and we’re looking for a highly organised and motivated Branch Coordinator to help drive operational excellence at our branch.
As the Branch Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of our transport, drivers, and equipment hire operations. You’ll oversee day-to-day scheduling, compliance, and customer service functions, ensuring our equipment and people are always in the right place at the right time.
This hands-on role requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate daily transport operations using the PoR system to maximise truck and trailer utilisation.
· Supervise Alfasi drivers and subcontractors, ensuring all inductions, hours, and compliance requirements are current.
· Arrange permits, pilots, police escorts, and site inductions as required to ensure transport compliance.
· Manage maintenance and repairs of trucks and trailers to meet safety and operational standards.
· Liaise with workshop and hire teams to ensure equipment is ready for delivery and rehire on time.
· Reconcile subcontractor invoices, prepare weekly transport summaries, and monitor cost control and productivity.
· Assist with generating hire contracts, purchase orders, and processing customer credits or disputes.
· Ensure all plant and transport documentation is up to date, compliant, and stored accurately.
· Maintain a high level of customer service and communication across transport, hire, and service administration teams.
· Provide regular reports and updates to branch and general managers.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
Experience in logistics, transport coordination, or equipment hire (preferred).
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Knowledge of road transport compliance, permits, and safety standards.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling systems (experience with PoR advantageous).
A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement.
