We’re looking for a Quality and Production Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis (2–3 days per week). This role provides vital administrative and document control support to both our quality and production functions, ensuring our operations run smoothly and remain compliant with client and company requirements.
The Role
Reporting to the Workshop Manager and Quality Coordinator, you’ll manage documentation, maintain registers, and provide general administrative and reception support. You’ll be the key link between workshop and office functions, ensuring records are accurate, organised, and audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and compile Manufacture Data Records (MDRs) for completed projects.
Maintain and update Welder Qualification and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) registers.
Assist with the issue and receipt of supplier RFQs and job documentation.
Support the preparation of job packs, including drawings, ITPs, and related production documents.
Provide administrative support for production meetings, scheduling, and reporting.
Undertake reception duties including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing general office tasks.
Assist with document control and data entry to support compliance and audit readiness.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation and administrative systems.
About You
You’ll be organised, proactive, and detail-focused, with strong administrative skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or fabrication environment will be highly regarded.
Skills and Experience:
Proven administrative experience, ideally within a technical or industrial environment.
Strong Microsoft Office and document control skills.
Understanding of quality or compliance documentation.
Effective communication and coordination across departments.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 systems or welding documentation (desirable).
Qualifications:
Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration (preferred).
What We Offer
Part-time role (2–3 days per week)
Supportive, team-based environment with hands-on involvement.
Stable role in a reputable, growing business.
Opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our production and quality processes.
If you’re detail-driven, professional, and looking for a part-time opportunity in a dynamic steel fabrication environment, we’d love to hear from you.
