Scooter Central is on the look-out for a casual motorcycle mechanic or a mechanic's assistant for our busy store in Brookvale, on Sydney's Northern Beaches. The role we have available is diverse and exciting as you are part of a dynamic team of two wheel enthusiasts. Yes, we love all kinds of bikes here, from sports bikes to dirt bikes to cruisers, but our specialty is scooters and this passion has lead us to become the most successful scooter store in Australia. We sell all of the top scooter brands, Vespa, Piaggio, Aprilia, Peugeot, Sym, Kymco and Electric Segway. These seven brands make up the major suppliers here in Australia. We are also the largest scooter accessory and parts store in Australia and run a busy onsite mechanical workshop to service the bikes.

THE ROLE

Our workshop mechanic's role will see you working in a team helping the work flow through the workshop. Everything from receiving and unboxing new bikes to pre-delivery services and diagnosing and servicing scooters.

We know that when we do our job successfully, satisfied customers tell their friends and we aim to give our customers a great experience from start to finish. It's quite simple.

Other qualifications:

Certificate III in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology ( for mechanic role)

• Previous motorcycle/scooter mechanical experience (for mechanic role)

or willingness to learn basic mechanical skills (for assistant role) are important.

Current Australian driver's licence

Motorcycle licence

OUR TEAM

We have a team of ten here at Scooter Central. Among our teams we have sales staff, admin staff and technical staff.

Each of our team are chartered to be the best they can be. We encourage learning and personal growth and to that end, we have several staff doing TAFE and other courses to improve themselves and add greater value to our store and your career.

REMUNERATION

This role is casual. The workshop is open Mon to Fri 8:30 to 5:00 we expect we have quite a bit of work available from now through the end of March and beyond.

There is a good casual rate depending on experience.
