About the Senior Tenancy Manager role and about you

We have an opportunity to join our Customers - Services team as a Senior Tenancy Manager. This is a new role 18-month fixed-term contract role, full-time position.

As an SGCH Senior Tenancy Manager, you are an experienced social and affordable housing tenancy manager who oversees a portfolio of properties and supports the Lead, Sustainable Tenancies and team members in addressing day-to-day tenancy matters. You act as the first point of contact for escalation of more complex issues to ensure they are promptly resolved.

The role focuses on managing tenancy processes while driving team performance, fostering a respectful and inclusive team culture, promoting individual and team accountability, supporting process improvement, and contributing to training across tenancy functions.

To succeed in this role, you will have relevant tertiary qualifictions or experience, training and leadership experience and a passion for getting outcomes for customers.

These roles require travel to your portfolio and other SGCH locations as required.

Tertiary qualifications in social work, social services, community services, welfare or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Extensive knowledge of the NSW Residential Tenancies Act 2010, experience at NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) and partnering with support services networks to resolve issues.

Demonstrated experience in coordinating complex tenancy cases to resolve customer issues in a fast-paced, community-focused environment, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service to individuals from diverse and vulnerable backgrounds.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve workplace issues, provide process ownership, and deliver effective training.

Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with a focus on fostering a positive, inclusive team culture and driving continuous improvement.

Ability to work with a business acumen and a social heart with self-motivation, compassion and resilience to manage competing priorities, deadlines and multiple stakeholders, to continuously improve, and deliver the best outcomes for the business and customers.

Current NSW driving license

The recruitment process may include interviews and other forms of skills and behavioural assessments.

The appointment of a suitable candidate will be subject to pre-employment screening which may include reference checks, a National Police Check, Health Assessment, etc.
