About the role

This full-time Human Resource/Payroll Officer role at Toowoomba Motors Pty Ltd in Toowoomba, QLD offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing company. You will be responsible for managing all HR and payroll functions, ensuring smooth operations and supporting the overall success of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

Administering the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, leave management, and offboarding

Processing payroll and managing all associated tasks, such as calculating wages, deductions, and superannuation contributions

Maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations

Providing HR advice and support to management and employees

Assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

Coordinating employee benefits and wellbeing initiatives

Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR and payroll processes

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar HR/payroll role, ideally within the automotive industry

Strong preference for candidates with automotive industry experience

Strong knowledge of employment laws, payroll processing, and HR best practices

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Proficient in using HR and payroll software, such as Unipay

Experience with any major HR/payroll software systems

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively

Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is desirable

Must have permanent residency or Australian citizenship
