As Senior Project Officer, you will work as part of the Regional Leadership Team to set the direction and priorities of the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Partnership's Central Region. You will provide high level support and service to the Regional Director, lead various strategic projects and participate in other project teams as required. This will involve researching and analysing information, drafting documents and developing and implementing initiatives that relate to disaster response, permits and other regional business.

We are seeking applications from individuals that:

  • can work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary and geographically dispersed team
  • understand the principles of strategic planning and management
  • are able to analyse, problem solve and innovate
  • have experience preparing correspondence, reports, briefings and submissions• drive results to achieve organisational objectives

  • are able to role model leadership behaviours

The location of this position is negotiable. Travel to regional centres and other offices will be required from time to time. This includes overnight stays and, at times, camping in rural and remote locations.

Licences:
You must hold an unrestricted manual driver's licence or be prepared to obtain a manual licence if you do not.
