We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Female Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with physical disabilities, mental health conditions, or complex needs. The role involves supporting individuals to live as independently as possible in their homes or supported living settings, promoting dignity, choice, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Administer medication in line with company policies and care plans.
Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) in a respectful and dignified manner.
Encourage and support individuals to participate in daily activities and community engagement.
Promote independence and life skills, including support with cooking, cleaning, and managing finances.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation (care notes, incident reports, etc.).
Offer emotional well-being support and companionship.
Collaborate with families, health professionals, and colleagues to ensure effective, person-centred care.
Ensure the safeguarding and safety of all individuals at all times.
Follow individualized care plans and complete risk assessments.
Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
Mandatory Requirements
Mandatory Training Completed and Up to Date.
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Disability, or higher.
Minimum 3–6 months of experience in a relevant support role (disability or aged care).
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, passive night shifts, and sleep-ins/wake-ins.
Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Valid and current National Police Check, Working with Children Check (WWCC), NDIS Worker Screening Check, and completed Orientation Module.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Medication Administration certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Valid Australian work rights (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
